\nIt will produce a control voltage proportional to the amplitude. Allowing a real communication between our system and the external sound source.<\/p>\nInstrument interface<\/strong> module has the following blocks:<\/p>\n\u201cPREAMP\u201d<\/strong>
\nWith two audio inputs (6.5 jack and Minijack), input amplification is controlled with \u201cGAIN\u201d pot, controlling the amplitude of the envelopes that will be generated.
\nMinimum signal required to generate the maximum envelope is 200mV peak and allows up to 5v input.<\/p>\n\u201cBPF\u201d<\/strong>
\nThe signal will pass through a band pass filter with cutoff frequency and band width control via \u201cFREQ\u201d and \u201cWIDTH\u201d pots.
\nLike this we will select the frequency range that will generate our control signal.
\nAfter this stage the signal will be outputed with synth level via \u201cAUDIO OUT\u201d.<\/p>\n\u201cENV.FOLLOWER\u201d<\/strong>
\nAfter filtering the signal it will feed \u201cRESPONSE\u201d stage, that will determine envelope follower response velocity. It features a \u201cHIGH\u201d, \u201cMEDIUM\u201d and \u201clOW\u201d selector switch to get an optimal envelope for different kind of signals. \u201cFOLLO OUT\u201d will output the envelope extracted and show us it\u2019s level via a LED. Green: Medium level, Orange: High level and Red: Max. Level.<\/p>\n\u201cENV.REGENERATOR\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u201cREGE OUT\u201d is a re-generated envelope that will allow controlling the rise of the envelope with \u201cATTACK\u201d and the fall with \u201cDECAY\u201d, making them longer or shorter.
\nIt features a LED indicator for the regenerated envelope level. Green: Medium level, Orange: High level, Red: Max. Level.<\/p>\n\u201cTRIG.EXTRACTOR\u201d<\/strong>
\nWith \u201cTHRESHOLD\u201d pot we control the level of a comparator that determines when \u201cGATE OUT\u201d and \u201cTRIGG OUT outputs will be activated.
\n\u201cGATE OUT\u201d will be at high level while the envelope is over the threshold we set, while TRIGG OUT is present just when the threshold is passed.
